Dog People Dog Daycare is the vision of three individuals who are passionate about animals, in
particular dogs, and are truly “Dog People”.
Our goal is to foster a daily, happy, healthy and safe environment for canine “children” with lots of interaction with other dogs and human beings.
Dogs can participate in group play, agility activities or just lounge in front of a fireplace and watch television.
We are long time dog owners of a variety of breeds from Chihuahuas, Bichons, Shih Tzus, Border Collies, to Rottweiler’s to Beagles, Australian Shepherds, Dalmatians, Terriers and your special Alberta breeds.
Carol is certified in Pet First Aid and Pet Sitting. We have worked with dogs for a number of years and have studied a number of training techniques. We do use some of the "finer" points of Cesar Millan (Dog Whisperer) and Don Sullivan techniques, to name a couple. We continue to ensure a positive envirnoment, with positive training and reinforcement.
We want your pet to leave smiling and happy along with desireable social skills!
OUR MISSION
Our dog daycare will encourage a unique dog pack environment offering an open concept so small dogs can interact with large dogs if they choose.
A stimulating environment will include various types of play equipment such as a agility, wading pool, platforms of various sizes and levels, safe comfortable sleeping and resting areas, fireplaces to cozy up to, televisions with dog movies, tents to play in, a playhouse & slide, clean outdoor potty area that includes a 100 sq.ft. sod box, lots of natural light, fresh air, open spaces and most important, a home atmosphere environment.
Our staff will interact with the dogs at all times. Ensuring safe and successful socialization and promoting a happy and a fun environment will be staff priority.
The staff will also incorporate various training techniques such as positive reinforcement through positive and appropriate body language and other proven effective Dog Training initiatives. We believe that a happy dog is one that is physically and mentally healthy.
We cannot accept unaltered dogs over the age of 6 months. We also cannot accept people aggressive dogs. We are willing to work at socializing any dog that lacks dog socialization skills, however, we reserve the right to discontinue service, at any time, for any reason, to protect the safety of both dogs and people.
We will work with all breeds. We believe that aggression is not a breed and that unacceptable behaviours are also not breed specific. We will not discriminate. If your dog is lacking in proper socialization, we will ask that your dog attend for a few visits so that we can properly assess before final acceptance into the daycare program. We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.

Appointments are NOT necessary to tour our facility, however, be prepared to be enthusiastically greeted by our pack!
